If he's really making MDMA, then it seems the high school taught him lab sciences and economics just fine.

Why is this the LW school's fault? What about parental as well as personal responsibility?

Right on. Concerned blames the high school for every moron that gets arrested. I think he failed at his own chance to succeed and blames LW for his failing to get ahead in life.

They always put ' manufacture of ecstasy"- was he really making it in his house?

Ecstasy is the street name for MDMA.
Its chemical name is methylenedioxymethamphetamine.
It's chemically related to methamphetamine, but isn't the same.

MDMA was used in psychotherapy, because it enhances feelings of well-being, empathy, insight and self-awareness while decreasing levels of anxiety and emotional inhibition, it helped facilitate the expression and integration of meaningful, disturbing emotional content that a patient might be chronically experiencing and dwelling upon.

MDMA has benefits that continue long after the drugs effects are gone, and you only needed to use it once or twice for maximal therapeutic benefit. MDMA isn't a dangerous drug in and of itself, it's the unknown potency and potentially harmful ingredients used by drug labs to increase profits that may be harmful or fatal.

MDMA is now declared illegal. Methamphetamine is still approved for ADHD and obesity, under the brand name Desoxyn, but it's more often used in it's pure form, crystal meth. Methamphetamine gives you a heightened sense of -fake- self-awareness and -fake- self-esteem, which is ripped out from underneath you.

Expanding on the post from “gary” it should be noted that our drug problems are in fact a result of direct government involvement. Specifically dark factions of the CIA working for the global banking/money laundering syndicate. Most ecstasy here comes from eastern Europe mainly Poland. One main goal in Afghanistan is control of the opium trade. Done by the proxy CIA who are employed by the global banking system. Many believe Pat Tillman was “wacked” because he intended to reveal what was really going on. The cash also funds certain “beyond black” operations so as to bypass congress. A couple of books explain the criminal state of affairs. “Dark Alliance: The CIA, The Contras, and the crack cocaine Explosion”, by: Gary Webb. Also a good history book detailing international drug operations is “Dope Inc.” compiled by Executive Intelligence Review. The kid portrayed in the article above is a victim of the flood of drugs that have been pouring into our country since Viet Nam, indeed another story by itself. It’s a shame that most American’s refuse to believe what’s really going on right under their collective noses. The evidence is massive and documented, but most people don’t care. They think this sort of thing only happens in movies. To naysayers, look up CIA plane crash in Mexico, 2007, 4 tons of cocaine. If anyone can explain away government involvement in that I for one would like to hear the explanation

@ Gary... why did you feel the need to provide this information? He was dealing drugs. .. period. This is not okay and your comment seems to reflect that you think it is okay that he do so.

Many people do not even know what it is, so I informed them. You aren't afraid of people making informed decisions, are you?

For the record, I don't condone homemade drugs. Not a fan of big pharma, either.

Was this the part that made you think i approve:" heightened sense of -fake- self-awareness and -fake- self-esteem, which is ripped out from underneath you." ?

I support you Ryan, MDMA has been clinically proven to be a very safe substance. Recent research suggests it's less toxic than alcohol (source: "Drugs Live: The Ecstasy Trials"), but the baby boomers don't want to hear it. We're going to have to wait for these old farts to die before we see any real change.

You honesty think someone with no organic chemistry background can produce such a substance? Blow me. It was 6 grams, not a kilo. That I could have done in one weekend. Also, was raiding my house at 10 a.m. really necessary? I look retarded asleep in this article. Gang suppression unit? I was selling a little weed. Will county takes everything to an extreme, they kicked my water softener off the wall after I showed them where everything was.

Lincoln Way? I graduated in 2010. Wtf? I haven't been in school in years. Lincoln Way is an amazing school with spectacular teachers. Are we not worried about the heroin problem in will county? Will county is the heroin capital of the untited states. Go do some research before you slander my name over a little bit of ecstasy, they raided me for weed.

Its not whether its good or bad for you.. if he's a good person or not.. in the courts its illegal and they could care less what you have to say. You're just another unproductive punk selling drugs to our kids.

Best to save all your words in court Ryan, No Sympathy here! Shame on the police for missing your face with their foot, instead of the water! You speak with such class. just another poor me pot head in trouble! Spend your drug money wisely, such as in REHABS!! Then help the poor future generation, make better choices than you!

AGREE Blah and GMC. Most addicts minimize and justify their behavior, do NOT take responsibility for their actions and play the victim card. Ryan you have more potential than being a pot head punk who is going to be in and out of court instead of at work or college. I hope you see the light and decide to help yourself and change your choices in life.

Don't know anything about brick thrown who ever you are, but the concern is to help save another person through drug awareness & rehabs. Sometimes even good people need to be caught, because they are fearless to drugs. even when they are raw at sobriety, the dealers weasel their ways back in & thats a just a death sentence waiting to happen. 21 should be a fun year, full of new choices in adulthood
