Frankfort Park District Wins 2 Statewide Awards
The district was recognized for its work in green practices and in partnership.
The Frankfort Park District received two statewide awards on Sept. 28 at the Illinois Association of Park Districts’ Best of the Best Awards Gala, according to a media release from the district.
The district was named first runner-up in the best green practices category for its work with the All Natural Bio-solids Fertilizer Program, said the release.
Frankfort also received the second runner-up title in the partnership category for its work with the Frankfort Athletic Association, Frankfort Baseball, Frankfort Girls Softball and the Lincoln-Way Soccer Club.

The district competed against park districts, forest preserves and conservation and recreation agencies throughout the state for the awards.
