Thankful for the auto call that went out this time around instead of hearing the rumors from kids flying like the last time.

I'm starting to think it's one of the students playing a prank. Why can't they catch the guy??

I guess my concern would be, how do they know it's a prank? They never caught the guy the first time, and even though nothing had happened last month(from the same guy) who is to say that it was a prank again? I guess I just wonder how they come to that conclusion. I also heard that the call was untraceable. Again, so how did they come to the conclusion it's a prank if they have no guy and no phone number.

Yes, thank you for the mass automated call. We really cannot conclude that this is a prank. Even though nothing happened the firls time and so far this time, doesn't mean it may not the next time that person calles in. We need to stay alert and stop thinking that it is a prank because that is when it may actually happen

Again, I received no call. I know they have my number because PPS called me last week.

It's a prank because no one showed up with guns, did they? Looking back at school shootings elsewhere, there is never a warning call when it happens.

They need to call everyone the automated call did not make it to my home and my child goes to preschool there. Im considering pulling him out for the rest of the year. This is now the second time I wasnt informed!!!!!

Its only a prank if the guy never shows up. Dont assume he wont come on a later date. I hope they catch this bastard.

Chuckster, I agree. You can never be too careful. He could be trying to lead us to believe it's a prank and then show up when least expected.
T. Hinks, I can only speak in the regards of my senior. I too have a friend who has a pre-schooler there and is very upset that she did not receive a call either. I believe it is the director of Aunt Nancy's that makes that decision but do not quote me.

That's not even funny. I sure hope whoever thinks it's funny to make these calls realizes how much time they'll have to laugh about their cleverness in PRISON.

Look at the resource expenditure and raw fear created. Caller will do jail time, no doubt. Besides, they'll have to blab to someone it was them, otherwise it's not 'fun'.

Try and have fun kids without causing mass panic.

I have to agree with the prank conclusion. As many others pointed out, why would an actual shooter give warning. A person who would so something like that would be mentally unstable and wouldn't call in advance.

Any call like that gets treated as a serious threat. As many commenters have pointed out, it only takes one time, one letdown, to have a catastrophe. I would have to assume that this person is using a cell phone to call the 911 center as from what I hear you can use a disconnected cell phone to contact 911. I may be wrong about that, but there is also a cell phone store directly across from the school. I did recieve a call this time and I didn't see any extra police when I picked my kid up that afternoon but I assume they were there for part of the day. My kid never mentioned the incident...
