The city of Chicago Heights, Ill., is suing the city of Hammond over a dispute about whether Hammond can more than quadruple what it charges for water and concerns that the city might cut off the only source of drinking water for about 44,000 people in Illinois.
Wake up Homewood, when is the village going to sue Harvey and the City of Chicago for raising water rates like this. Shame on them and anyone who profits off of this crap. Hey Ryan Fitzpatrick, ask Hofeld how he feels about this. My last quarterly water bill from the village of homewood was $440. This is insane. This matter needs attention from the Patch staff!!
