2 Men Charged With Attempted Theft

Raymond G. Pelton, 54, of the 0-100 block of West 28th Place in Chicago Heights, Jason Pelton, 32, of the 200 block of Columbia Circle in Steger, were charged with attempted misdemeanor theft after an incident in the 22700 block of Challenger Road. They were released on bond, and their next court date is Oct. 10.

Mokena Woman Faces DUI, Traffic Charges

Jane E. Griffin, 49, of the 11600 block of 197th Street in Mokena, was charged with driving under the influence, improper parking on a roadway, unsafe equipment, driving without insurance and resisting/obstructing a peace officer after a traffic stop near the intersection of 116th Street and Laraway Road. Griffin's next court date is Oct. 3.

Frankfort Teen Caught With Fireworks

A 13-year-old Frankfort boy was cited for illegal fireworks after an incident in the 22600 block of Lilly Pad Lane.
